31 Jan, 2019 (Daniela Sirtori-Cortina, Citywire Americas) – Wells Fargo Asset Management is bringing 17 funds to Colombia through its distribution partner, Chile-based Bci Asset Management.
The Chilean firm has secured authorization from the Colombian market regulator to market a raft of the US firm’s vehicles covering from Chinese equities to a global long/short strategy, according to a filing released January 25.
Wells Fargo confirmed that it had a distribution agreement with Bci but declined to comment further. It appears to be the first time the $466 billion manager is bringing its funds to Colombia, according to filings with the Colombian market regulator.
It is understood the vehicles will be distributed to sophisticated investors in Colombia.
